There will be various single- and double-lane closures on I-684 between Exit 4 (Route 172) and Exit 5 (Saw Mill River Parkway) in Bedford, beginning Monday, June 8 until further notice, while crews perform bridge rehabilitation.

Northbound closures will take place between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; southbound closures will occur between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.

The eastbound and westbound Route 100C (Grasslands Road) ramp to Route 9A northbound in Mount Pleasant is expected to close on Monday, June 8 at 9 a.m., until approximately Friday, July 3, while crews perform gas transmission construction work, weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the posted detour, using Walker and Dana Roads, and anticipate possible delays.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.

"In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license," the DOT said.
